Royal Mail Group in Carmarthen is hiring a Postal Delivery Driver for a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, sorting mail at the office, and working outdoors in all weather on a rotating shift that includes weekends.

Location: Carmarthen Delivery Office, SA31 2BG

Job type: Fixed Termcontract 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 20 hours per week - working 5days in 6 across Monday - Saturday - 09:00/13:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
