Royal Mail Waterlooville is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in your local area using a Royal Mail van, with a rota that includes some Sundays and weekends.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, physical fitness for walking and lifting, and a customer-focused, reliable approach. Full training is provided with 30 hours per week and overtime opportunities.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.Working hours: 30:00hours per week – working (5) days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:30-14:40 mon to sat & 12:00-18:00 Sun*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work 2 Sundays per month at (Waterooville) Delivery Office.

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
