Job summary

Royal Mail in Bath is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9‑month contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in your local area.

Hours are 34.5 per week across five days in seven, with a rotating rota and some weekend work. Full training, a uniform and a red van are provided, along with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit, comfortable walking long distances, stairs and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated, with strong organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 34.50 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday

Monday - Saturday hours: 07:20 - 16:00

Sunday hours: 12:00 - 19:30

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Bath Delivery Office.

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
