Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) at Upton. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels, using a Royal Mail van and on foot in your local area. The role involves building relationships with customers and working outdoors in all weather.

The position requires a full UK driving licence, physical fitness for long walks, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. Training is provided, with a rotating shift and weekend work.

Location: Upton Delivery Office, CH49 9AA

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30.00 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 10:00/17:00*

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work one in three Sundays at Upton Delivery Office 10:30/16:30

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
