Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers in Carterton on behalf of Royal Mail. This temporary role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors and delivering excellent customer service.

You will start from the local delivery office, sort and load deliveries, and navigate routes with a handheld device. The role includes walking up to 8 miles daily and lifting mail bags and parcels as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven time management and strong customer service aptitude.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience in delivery or driving is beneficial but not required.
• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred) and licence held for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at local delivery office to sort/load deliveries.
• Use handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle; walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Hours: 40 Hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekend availability required

Shift Times: 9am - 5pm

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
