Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for Carterton on a permanent contract. The role involves sorting mail, delivering by van and on foot, and building relationships with customers across a 30-hour week on a rotating schedule. You will work outdoors, in all weather, with Sundays required on the Carterton route.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points), be fit to walk long distances, and able to pass a driving assessment. Training is provided.

Location: Carterton Delivery Office, OX18 3TT

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 9:00/15:00*

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
