Job summary

Pertemps, on behalf of Royal Mail, is hiring a Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver in Taunton. You will start from the local delivery office, load deliveries, and deliver letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle, with routes and signature capture via handheld device.

The role suits customer‑service minded individuals who enjoy outdoor work and independence in all weather. Shifts are 37 hours weekly, with a 14:00–21:00 schedule and weekend availability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Hours: 37 hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekend availability required

Shift Times: 14:00pm - 21:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred)
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
