Job summary

Royal Mail in Crewe is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 9 months. You’ll sort letters and parcels at the delivery office, and deliver by van and on foot to customers along your route.

This active, outdoors role involves a 30-hour week across five days with rotating shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime. Full training is provided, plus a uniform and a trusted van to help you connect with your community.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence, max 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well organised.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:30-15:30 or 14:00-20:00*

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
