Job summary

The Bemrose School in Derby is seeking a dedicated Post 16 Progress and Attendance Mentor to support our Post 16 students to achieve academic success and reliable attendance. You will deliver academic mentoring, intervene to improve attendance and provide pastoral support, working closely with students, families and staff to remove barriers to learning and raise aspirations.

The role requires strong organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work well with young people.

Qualifications

• DBS and DBA checks required.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic mentoring to Post 16 pupils.
• Conduct attendance interventions to improve attendance.
• Provide pastoral support and work with families and staff to remove barriers to learning.
