A well-regarded UK health charity is seeking a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to drive their public affairs initiatives. This hybrid role involves developing policy positions, producing high-quality reports, and engaging with stakeholders, including government entities and NGOs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Westminster processes and demonstrated experience in relationship-building and policy advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Excellent working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall.

Policy and Public Affairs Manager

Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charity's public affairs initiatives across the devolved nations
  • Develop important policy positions through analysing data and evidence
  • Produce high-quality policy briefings, reports and consultation responses
  • Track and monitor policy developments
  • Build relationships with key external stakeholders, including government departments, not-for-profit organisations and those with lived experiences
  • Work and build relationships with MPs and civil servants, attending APPGs and select committees in parliament
  • Work closely and collaborate with other teams within the charity

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
  • Ability to produce high quality, evidence based internal and external briefing materials under time constraints
