Job summary

Adecco are recruiting a Resource Management Planner to join the Devon & Cornwall Police Force in Plymouth. This temporary, full-time role offers an hourly rate of £14.10 and a 37-hour week, with a position end date in February 2027.

The post requires police vetting and UK residency of at least 5 years. You will deliver resource plans, maintain staffing levels, and generate reports to support policing operations across multiple business areas.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of resource management and planning with IT system familiarity.
• Knowledge of Working Time Regulations and staffing principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels, including senior officers.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to identify gaps quickly.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good negotiation and influencing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing levels for daily policing activities and operations.
• Identify and report staffing shortfalls and escalate where needed.
• Accurately record data in IT systems to enable resource plans.
• Serve as first point of contact for resource management inquiries.
• Support upkeep of the organisational skills base and training.
• Produce insightful reports to aid resourcing decisions.
