Job summary

Adecco are recruiting a Resource Management Planner to support Devon & Cornwall Police Force in Exeter. This temporary role offers 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at 14.10 per hour with an end date in February 2027.

You will manage staffing, data, and resource plans to meet operational policing demands. Key duties include maintaining staffing levels, addressing shortfalls, data management, and providing first-line support on resource inquiries.

Qualifications

• Solid resource planning and data management experience.
• Knowledge of Working Time Regulations is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Able to analyse large data sets and recognise gaps quickly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing levels for daily policing and operations.
• Identify and report staffing shortfalls, escalating as needed.
• Record data in IT systems to build resource plans.
• Provide professional support for resource management inquiries.
• Support maintenance of the organisational skill base and training.
• Produce reports to aid managers in resourcing decisions.
