Job summary

Adecco are pleased to be recruiting a Resource Management Planner to work within the Devon & Cornwall Police Force in Exeter. This temporary, full-time position offers 37 hours per week at £14.10 per hour and runs until February 2027.

You will ensure optimal staffing levels, maintain data in IT systems, report shortfalls, and generate resource plans and management reporting for a policing context. Police vetting is required and applicants must have resided in the UK for 5 years.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of resource management and planning.
• Familiarity with Working Time Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and identify gaps quickly.
• Proven experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing levels for daily policing activities and operations.
• Identify and report staffing shortfalls, escalating as needed.
• Record data in Force IT Systems to create resource plans.
• Provide professional support for resource management inquiries.
• Support upkeep of the organisational skill base and training.
• Produce insightful reports to aid resourcing decisions.
