Adecco are recruiting for a HR Officer to work within the Devon & Cornwall Police Force in Plymouth, UK. This temporary role is 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri) with a £17.97 hourly rate and an end date of 22 November 2027. Driving is required.

The role sits in the HR Delivery team and involves grievance management, investigations and advisory support. Applicants should have proven HR/employee relations experience, strong communication, and knowledge of employment legislation.

• Proven experience in HR or employee relations with case management.
• Strong communication abilities, resilience, empathy, and assertiveness.
• Sound understanding of employment legislation and HR best practises.
• Effective problem-solving with report writing, investigation, and data analysis.

Mansioni

• Grievance Management: Oversee and coordinate grievance cases from initial concerns through to resolution.
• Investigative Support: Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into employee relations matters and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Advisory Role: Provide professional HR advice to managers on workplace disputes, fostering positive relationships and effective conflict resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with managers, Trade Unions, and stakeholders to support grievance meetings and appeals.
• Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate record-keeping and management information related to grievance cases.
