Job Title: Plumber
Location: UB1

Salary: £31,049 (Band 5)
Timings: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:30

Job Purpose

To undertake a wide range of plumbing and mechanical services tasks, including planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and installation works.
The role involves ensuring that all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Health & Safety and client policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out both routine and non-routine plumbing and mechanical work activities across the site.
• Undertake new installations, repairs, and planned maintenance activities to mechanical, heating, hot and cold water plant, equipment and associated services.
• Respond promptly and effectively to reactive work requests and minor new installation requirements.
• Complete weekly planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to a high standard.
• Escort contractors carrying out inspections, maintenance, or installations, ensuring compliance with site policies and safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and ensure accurate tool lists are kept up to date.
• Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations, Security requirements, and all relevant site policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Services.
• Specializing in a mechanical service such as Gas, Refrigeration, or Heat Pumps.
• Water Safety Training certification.
• Proven experience in carrying out a broad range of plumbing and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
