Job summary

Skipton is seeking an experienced Platform Manager to lead the Core Banking Platform’s evolution, performance and operational excellence. This strategic role sits at the heart of our technology estate, aligning security, resilience and scalability with business priorities.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, architects, stakeholders and suppliers to shape the platform roadmap and deliver value for colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology platforms or critical business systems in complex environments.
• Proven ability to deliver platform strategy with strong operational excellence.
• Experience managing technology roadmaps, priorities, risks and dependencies.
• Confident communicator who can influence decisions and simplify complex topics.
• Knowledge of risk management, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Strong collaboration with engineering, architecture, security and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Core Banking Platform.
• Ensure platform priorities support organisational objectives and technology strategies.
• Own platform priorities, managing backlogs, dependencies, risks and trade-offs.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, removing obstacles and enabling delivery.
• Drive operational excellence across platform performance, stability and resilience.
• Oversee risk, security, governance, audit and compliance activities.
