Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking an experienced Platform Manager to lead the Core Banking Platform's evolution, performance and operational excellence. This strategic role partners with engineering, architecture, security and business stakeholders to shape the platform roadmap and deliver value for members and colleagues.

You will balance modernization with reliability and regulatory needs, while working in a hybrid setup with three days in the Skipton office and two days at home.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology platforms and engineering teams in complex environments.
• Ability to deliver platform strategy while maintaining operational excellence.
• Experience managing roadmaps, priorities, risks and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of modern engineering practices and service operations.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and simplify complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Core Banking Platform.
• Ensure platform priorities align with organisational objectives and technology strategy.
• Own platform priorities, backlogs, dependencies, risks and trade-offs.
• Lead engineering teams, remove blockers and support delivery.
• Drive operational excellence across performance, stability and service health.
• Oversee risk, security, governance, audit and compliance activities.
• Build strong relationships across Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations, and suppliers.
