Job summary

Be One Homes in Bolton is recruiting a skilled Plasterer to join our Essential Repairs Team. You will carry out plastering repairs and refurbishment works across tenants' homes, delivering high standards of workmanship and excellent customer service.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. NVQ Level 2 in Plastering and a valid driving licence are highly valued as you will work across Be One Homes properties in the Bolton area.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • A full valid driving licence.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical competence in plastering.
  • Experience with repairs and maintenance services alongside other trades.
  • Clear communication and excellent customer service with customers.
  • Strong communication and ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • A proactive, adaptable, solution-focused approach to work.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements in a maintenance environment.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out plastering repairs, maintenance and refurbishment in tenants' homes and Be One Homes properties.
  • Undertake solid plastering, wet finishes, pebbledash, and external wall coverings.
  • Install and repair plasterboard and dry lining systems, ceilings and partitions.
  • Carry out property inspections and identify repairs or safety concerns.
  • Use mobile working technology to receive, update and complete work orders.
  • Deliver professional, respectful and customer-focused service and keep residents informed.
  • Collaborate with other trades, housing colleagues and external partners.
  • Ensure work complies with health and safety regulations and quality standards.

Join our team as a Plasterer

Join our Essential Repairs Team as a Plasterer and help us provide safe, high-quality homes for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trade professional who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and excellent customer service.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining and improving our homes, carrying out a range of plastering repairs and refurbishment works while supporting our vision of providing quality housing and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a wide range of plastering repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within tenants' homes and other Be One Homes properties.
  • Undertake solid plastering, including applying wet finishes, pebbledash, sand and cement rendering, and protective external wall coverings.
  • Install and repair plasterboard and dry lining systems, including ceilings, partitions and finishing coats ready for decoration.
  • Carry out property inspections and identify any additional repairs or health and safety concerns.
  • Use mobile working technology and digital systems to receive, update and complete work orders.
  • Deliver a professional, respectful and customer-focused service, keeping residents informed throughout repair works.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades, housing colleagues and external partners to deliver efficient repair services.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations, organisational policies and quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
  • A full valid driving licence.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical competence in all aspects of plastering.
  • Experience working alongside other trades to deliver repairs and maintenance services.
  • Experience working directly with customers and providing clear communication and excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and understandable way.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to shared outcomes.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach to work.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements within a maintenance environment.
