Job summary

Prima Group in Liverpool, Wirral area, is hiring a Multi Trade Skilled - Plasterer to join our housing maintenance team. You will perform plastering tasks, repairs and improvements across properties, prioritising jobs and coordinating with colleagues and offices.

We value customer service, quality workmanship and teamwork; NVQ Level 2 is required, with NVQ Level 3 and PASMA desirable. Hybrid working and healthcare/pension benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 is desirable.
• PASMA training is desirable.
• Carry out plastering to a good standard and work with at least one related trade (Joinery, Tiling, Plumbing, Groundworks).
• Plan, prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines; work with others on multi-discipline orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance and improvements as directed.
• Locate properties and use maps; prioritise and manage daily jobs.
• Organise work to complete tasks efficiently and on time.
• Document orders, keep records and report works undertaken.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers and customers.
• Support team to achieve targets and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with other trades on complex orders; maintain high workmanship standards.

Multi Trade Skilled - Plasterer Main Duties

• To be able to perform a range of repairs, maintenance and improvement works as required.
• To be able to locate properties in various surrounding areas and effectively use a map and take directions.
• To organise daily jobs effectively and independently, taking into consideration job priority and appointments made.
• To assist colleagues in ensuring timely completion of jobs.
• To document all orders and job sheets efficiently and produce accurate reports regarding works undertaken and properties visited.
• To communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers and customers.
• To perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.
• To complete jobs in priority and completion date order.
• To attend and participate in training and information sessions relating to health and safety and relevant processes.
• To help us to achieve our aim of becoming the 'contractor of choice' by providing excellent service to our customers and working closely with our partners.
• To ensure compliance with the Group’s health and safety policies.
• To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) applicable to their professional body and be prepared to undertake training as directed by the Group.
• The post holder may be directed by their line manager to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.

Skills & Competencies For The Role

• NVQ level 2 qualification in core trade (or equivalent).
• NVQ level 3 is desirable.
• PASMA training is desirable
• To carry out all aspects of plastering to a good standard.
• To be proficient in at least one of the following
• Joinery
• Tiling and finishes
• Plumbing
• Groundworks
• To be customer focused and to deliver excellent customer service.
• To be able to work in an efficient manner, completing jobs and arranging materials to minimise non-productive time.
• To work with other trades in delivery of more complex or multi discipline orders, being mindful of the effect one trades actions may have on another.
• Must be methodical, accurate and have a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• High degree of initiative to complete jobs by target date.
• Ability to query jobs and liaise with office staff and managers.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
• Working to deadlines and agreed targets.
• Full awareness of relevant H&S requirements and considerations.
• Dealing with members of the public on a regular basis.
• Excellent standards of communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience of working with Housing Associations and delivering repairs is desirable.
