Job summary

Places for People is seeking a qualified Plasterer to undertake plastering repairs across domestic properties and communal areas, with a company van and a consistent workload in your patch. You will work to specifications, perform inspections, and uphold health and safety standards.

You will collaborate with supervisors and wider teams, support apprentices, and contribute to team KPIs while delivering quality workmanship in social housing across local communities.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Plastering.
  • Experience as a plasterer in social housing or domestic properties.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be based within the advertised postcode area.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out plastering repairs across domestic properties and communal areas
  • Completing general plastering work in line with specifications and supervisor instructions
  • Conducting pre and post inspections and recording outcomes
  • Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines
  • Recording work activity and completing required documentation
  • Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out plastering repairs across domestic properties and communal areas
  • Completing general plastering work in line with specifications and supervisor instructions

What Your Day Looks Like
  • A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work
  • Travelling between jobs in your company van
  • Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
  • Engaging directly with Customers in their homes
  • Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards
Where you'll work

You will be working across:

  • Occupied homes
  • Empty (void) properties
  • Communal areas within housing schemes
  • Environments involving vulnerable Customers
Essential Criteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)
  • NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plastering
  • Experience working as a Plasterer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be based within the advertised postcode
Nice To Have (not Essential)
  • Experience supervising or mentoring apprentices
  • Additional Level 2 trade qualification
Our hiring process
