Job summary

Berneslai Homes is seeking a Plasterer in Barnsley to deliver high-quality plastering works across repairs and refurbishment projects. The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, driving licence, and flexibility to meet service needs.

The position is full-time (37 hours) with a permanent contract and a competitive salary plus a tool allowance. You will join a workforce prioritising customer-first values and safety.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures for plastering.
  • Experience delivering plastering work to a high standard on repairs/refurbishments.
  • Current driving licence and ability to travel as required.
  • Flexible hours to meet service needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare area for plastering, including removal and covering up of furniture.
  • Remove plaster and renders from walls and ceilings, including exterior renders.
  • Apply lightweight plasters to walls and ceilings.
  • Apply sand/cement and insulating render to exterior walls.
  • Fix angle beads to interior and exterior angles.
  • Apply plasters and renders to heads, sills, reveals and curved work.

Salary: £30,581.91 + Tool Allowance

The Plasterer role:

We are looking for an adedicated bricklayer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and exceptional service. Within this role you will be able to provide a professional, quality of craftsmanship and customer orientated service to all internal and external customers.

What we're looking for in our Plasterer:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plastering.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures in relation to plastering.
  • Previous experience of carrying out plastering work to a high standard on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Current driving licence and the ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the post.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
