Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Plant Operations Technician to oversee and optimise the plant and equipment on the Rolls-Royce contract at Filton, Bristol. The role focuses on maintaining reliability of MEP systems and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will implement preventive maintenance, inspect onsite, and collaborate with vendors while engaging with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvements aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, facilities management or a related field.
• Certifications and licenses are a plus.
• Proven plant operations experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, building automation.
• Solid health and safety regulatory understanding.
• Analytical, data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient with CMMS and related software.
• Valid UK driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant and equipment operations for optimal performance.
• Coordinate with managers to meet MEP requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Conduct regular onsite inspections of MEP systems and address faults.
• Collaborate with vendors to source materials and negotiate service contracts.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and stay current with codes and standards.
• Monitor emerging technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
