Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Plant Operations Technician on a Rolls-Royce contract in Derby, onsite with a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri, day shift). You will oversee all plant and equipment, ensuring reliable MEP operation and compliance with regulations, while leading improvements and coordinating with vendors.

The role requires strong technical background, leadership, data-driven decision making and CMMS proficiency, with knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and a valid UK driving

Qualifications

• Experienced in engineering, facilities management or related field.
• Proven plant operations experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building automation.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• CMMS experience and use of relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all plant and equipment for Derby contract.
• Coordinate with managers to meet MEP requirements efficiently.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Perform onsite inspections of MEP systems and address faults promptly.
• Collaborate with vendors to source materials and negotiate service agreements.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and ensure standards compliance.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and sustainability opportunities.
