Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a fully automated production facility in Bristol on a long-term contract. The role requires hands-on maintenance of high‑tech production machinery and a proactive approach to uptime and safety.

The position offers 12-hour day and night shifts, a rate up to £40 per hour outside IR35, and an opportunity to work on cutting-edge equipment within a large, professional team.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing / process environment.
• Knowledge of production/process machinery.
• Strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background.
• Hands-on, team worker.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair
• Minimise downtime and support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
