Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Hire Controller to join our busy plant and tool hire operation in Acton. You will manage hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires, coordinate deliveries and liaise with workshop and transport teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The role requires 2+ years in plant/tool hire, hire desk experience, and driving licence; experience with Syrinx is desirable. A physically active role with occasional loading/unloading is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience within plant hire, tool hire or equipment rental.
• Previous hire desk/hire controller experience.
• Syrinx experience highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of the hire process, transport and fleet scheduling.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Full UK Category B manual driving licence essential.
• Physically fit and comfortable assisting with loading/unloading.
• Polish or Ukrainian language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer hire enquiries, bookings and off-hires.
• Process contracts, orders and hire documentation.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and collections.
• Liaise with workshop and transport teams.
• Monitor fleet availability and equipment allocation.
• Maximise hire opportunities and ancillary sales.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading equipment when required.
