Job description

Our client is a well-established manufacturer, delivering high-quality products across a range of sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented Planning & Exports Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support across order processing, planning, export documentation, and interdepartmental coordination.

The Role

Reporting into the operations team, the Planning & Exports Coordinator ensures customer orders move smoothly through the business and shipments are prepared accurately and on time. You will act as a key point of contact between sales, production, purchasing, and despatch teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Processing customer orders accurately in the internal system and updating them as changes occur.
  • Supporting lead‑time coordination with the sales team and communicating updates promptly.
  • Assisting in scheduling shipping dates, test‑fit dates, and internal schedules, ensuring all dates are visible to relevant teams.
  • Preparing export documentation and managing administrative tasks for international shipments.
  • Handling small parcel shipments, including courier arrangements, tracking, and paperwork.
  • Maintaining clear communication across sales, production, purchasing, and other internal teams to prevent delays.
  • Tracking Work in Progress (WIP) and maintaining accurate records of all open orders.
  • Liaising with the despatch team to ensure timely shipment of parts and completed orders.
  • Obtaining freight and courier costings and providing information to sales and accounts.
Candidate requirements
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or order‑processing environments is preferred.

  • Confident communicator able to liaise with multiple departments.
