Where you’ll work

This role will initially be based in Bradford, but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in Summer 2026. In the future you will be based there, with a hybrid working arrangement of a mix of office and home working. We work 3 days in the office per week.

Work type

This is a permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am – 6:00pm.

What this role does

As a Planner you will coordinate and manage work in line with service level targets, create work plans (weekly, monthly, etc.) to achieve completion within set timeframes and available resources. You will pre‑plan work schedules to balance field resource productivity with service level adherence and forecast workload to ensure an achievable workload within a set area. You will plan and prepare work activities, coordinating resources, equipment and materials to deliver a right‑first‑time experience for our customers. Responsibilities also include planning preventive maintenance, complex planning, reactive and predictive workload, preparing work plans using Yorkshire Water’s IT systems, engaging with field management, and working with Demand and Capacity, Field Performance Managers, Technical Planners, Foxbridge Logistics and Schedulers to ensure logical plans that meet completion and productivity targets.

Preferred experience
  • Experience using IT packages to plan large volumes of work (SAP understanding preferred; full training will be provided)
  • Previous experience in the water, wastewater, utilities, process or manufacturing sectors would be beneficial
