Hours: Full time

Sutton Coldfield Group Practice (SCGP) Primary Care Network consistsof a single merged innovative practice on a single IT system. We prideourselves on providing high quality patient centered care by a well-supportedteam of staff with a focus on a culture of continued learning and improvement.We span six sites within a five mile radius and cover 52,000 patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated PharmacyTechnician with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our existing PCNpharmacy team.

If upon you joining SCGP (Sutton Coldfield Group Practice), you are currently a patient at one of the SCGP practices, you will be asked to transfer to a different practice. During your probation, unless there is no other alternative available for you, you will be expected to transfer to another practice to ensure that you are not treated by a colleague.

Job responsibilities

Pharmacy technicians play an increasingly important role in complementing clinical pharmacists, and multi-disciplinary teams in the PCN.

The role of the technician will cover clinical, technical and administrative duties. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that systems, structures and processes are in place to deliver the smooth and efficient day to day running of the sites.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • It is a requirement of the role to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have a BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our existing PCN pharmacy and medicines optimisation team.
