Job summary

Boots in Manchester is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver exceptional patient-centred care and expert medication guidance. You will triage patients, coach the dispensary team, and ensure safe, ethical decision-making in daily pharmacy operations.

You will support stock management, use pharmacy systems, and help drive high standards of service for our customers and colleagues. DBS/ PVG checks may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Strong desire to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve services for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver outstanding patient care and services.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
• Deliver services tailored to store needs.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.
• Assist with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Own legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock replenishment, workload, orders and handling of controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
