Job description

Overview

We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way, a secure environment opened in May 2023 that offers a state‑of‑the‑art design to support inmates in developing skills for successful release.

Hours & Salary

Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week with a Monday–Sunday service. Shift pattern: 7 am–6 pm Monday–Friday, 7:30 pm–6:30 pm weekends, 1 weekend in 4, 4‑week rolling rota.

Salary: £34,428–£41,658 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient‑centred, high‑quality care, seeking and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
  • Manage medicines safely, maintain accurate patient records, and adhere to SOPs and policy.
  • Administer medicines within the scope of professional standards and analyse cost‑effective prescribing in line with the Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
