Key Responsibilities
  • The role involves working collaboratively as part of the Pharmacy team to deliver healthcare services, including administering medications to patients.
  • The post holder will contribute to providing a high-quality pharmacy service and support medicines management initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities within the prison setting.
  • They will offer pharmacy-related advice and information to patients, prison staff, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring guidance is tailored to individual needs.
  • The position requires working independently within the scope of professional competence while serving as a resource and support for less experienced colleagues.
  • Additionally, the role includes assisting in the development and implementation of pharmacy services across all residential wings, which may involve advising patients on the correct and safe use of their medication.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technican with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Prison clearance - subject to vetting checks
  • NVQ, BTEC or equivalent
  • Able to work autonomously
