East Cheshire NHS Trust in Macclesfield is hiring an Assistant Technical Officer for the Pharmacy Department. You will help provide safe dispensary and ward stock services to patients and staff, including packing medicines and coordinating store operations.

The role involves manual handling in a hospital setting, with DBS checks and visa considerations noted. Prior hospital pharmacy experience is valued and educational requirements include GCSEs and NVQ2 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level (maths and English) with minimum C.
• NVQ2 in pharmacy services or actively pursuing it.
• Buttercups Pharmacy Support worker qualification or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Assist in delivering pharmaceutical care through safe dispensary and distribution services.
• Provide ward stock top-up, issue, pick, check and pack medicines.
• Cover pharmacy reception and dispensary; coordinate stores workload.
• Work under Wholesaler Dealer License to service external customers.
• Goods receipt, stock on system, and handling discrepancies.
