Job summary

Boots in the UK is offering a Trainee Dispenser role within our store pharmacy team. You will support pharmacists, greet customers, dispense prescriptions and provide guidance on medicines. Training leading to NVQ2 will be provided, with opportunities to advance to Pharmacy Technician or store leadership.

This in-store position requires no prior experience, with a strong focus on patient care, safety, and adherence to SOPs. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required and full training provided.
• Willingness to learn and develop pharmacy skills on the job.
• Current UK right to work and eligibility for training programme.

Responsibilities

• Complete Training for the NVQ2 programme in Pharmacy Dispenser.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to deliver services.
• Provide advice to patients on medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe, legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients in managing repeats and adherence to medicines.
