Job summary

Boots in the UK is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to support pharmacists and healthcare professionals in-store while completing the NVQ2 dispenser training. No prior experience is required, and full training will be provided. The role is in-store within the UK and excludes remote applicants.

Training includes prescription dispensing and patient guidance on medicines. You will learn to work with store systems, gain patient-facing experience, and have opportunities for career progression, including

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in a retail/pharmacy setting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, endorsing, collection).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
