Job summary

Boots is looking for a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and provide patient care while completing the Dispenser NVQ2 training. This in-store role emphasizes patient interaction, safe medicine handling, and adherence to SOPs.

No previous experience required; full training provided and progression opportunities to Pharmacy Technician are available.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence.
