Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and learn through the NVQ2 Dispenser training programme. No prior experience required, and full training will be provided.

This role is based in-store across the UK, with a focus on safe dispensing and patient care. Training will lead to registration as a Pharmacy Technician or progression within the store leadership team.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. Not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection.
• Work with healthcare professionals to assist in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage prescriptions and adherence.
