Job summary

Boots in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to support the pharmacy team in-store while you train for an NVQ2 Dispenser qualification. You will greet customers, dispense prescriptions and advise on medicines, under supervision of the Pharmacist.

No prior experience is required and full training will be provided. The role is in-store only in the UK; remote applicants are not considered and right to work must be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. No sponsorship for visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer to Pharmacist as needed.
• Follow SOPs for safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up-to-date with new store innovations and processes.
• Support patients to manage repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
