Job summary

CVS Vets is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist for Charter Veterinary Centre in North Devon. The role involves managing calls, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments. A warm, organized approach and computer literacy are essential to delivering excellent customer service in a busy practice.

We offer part-time hours (23.5 per week) with a salary aligned to the National Minimum Wage, and benefits within a supportive CVS Vets network. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist experience is essential and helps in a veterinary context.
• Strong communication and people skills are required to deliver a warm client experience.
• Comfort with computer systems and learning new software will be important.

Responsibilities

• Manage phone calls and appointments efficiently.
• Greet clients warmly and register new clients.
• Process insurance forms and handle payments accurately.
• Distribute medications as needed and support clinic administration.
• Provide empathetic client support during stressful times.
