CVS Vets is seeking a part-time Veterinary Receptionist at Charter Veterinary Centre in North Devon. You will manage calls, book appointments, greet clients, and handle insurance and payments while delivering outstanding customer service in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Communication: Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently
  • Inquiries Resolution: Respond to queries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Client Reception: Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome
  • Insurance Management: Process and manage insurance forms
  • Medication Distribution: Dispense medications as required
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments accurately and efficiently
  • Emotional Support: Provide empathy to clients during distressing times while maintaining professionalism
  • System Utilisation: Organise patients using the in-house system
  • Inter-practice Communication: Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs
  • Debt and Refund Management: Make necessary phone calls regarding debts and refunds
  • Client Care: Ensure every client feels welcomed and valued

CHARTER VETS ROUNDSWELL AND CHARTER VETS BRIDGE HOUSE WITH POTENTIAL REQUIREMENT TO WORK AT MULLACOTT

Contract:

PERMANENT PART TIME

Hours:

23.5

Salary:

£8.00 - £12.71 per hour, depending on age and in accordance with National Minimum Wage legislation

The reception team plays a vital role within the practice and is often the first point of contact for our clients. We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised, and passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience.

Previous experience in a similar customer-facing role would be beneficial, particularly within healthcare, veterinary, or other service-based industries, but it is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who:
