Job summary

West Mount Veterinary Centre, part of CVS Vets, is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to support client care, answer incoming calls, schedule appointments and manage patient records. You will greet clients warmly, assist with insurance forms and payments, and maintain a smooth front-desk operation.

The role is based across Halifax and Huddersfield with a 40-hour week (flexible to 20 hours) and a rotating pattern including Saturdays. CVS Vets offers staff discounts and leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a client-focused role is essential.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus but not required.
• Strong communication and empathy when helping clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process insurance forms and payments accurately.
• Use the in-house system to manage patient records and appointments.
• Provide professional and compassionate client support during distressing times.
