Job summary

Johnston Veterinary Centre, part of CVS Vets, is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to put pets first. You will handle calls, greet clients, and manage appointments at our Wellingborough practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a client-focused role is preferred.
• Ability to handle emotional situations with kindness and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills and genuine empathy.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to queries via phone, email and in-person interactions with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process and manage insurance forms adeptly.
• Dispense medications as required.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Provide empathy and understanding to clients during distressing times, while maintaining professionalism.
• Organise patients using the in-house system efficiently.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs and queries.
• Make necessary calls regarding debts, belongings and refunds.
• Ensure that every client feels welcomed and valued.
