Job summary

Bridge Veterinary Centre in Hartlepool, CVS Vets, is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to support a busy client-facing reception. You will greet clients, manage calls, book appointments and assist with insurance forms.

This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–19:00, with potential for job sharing. CVS Vets supports training and a friendly team focused on putting pets first.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a demanding, client-focused role is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients with a warm welcome.
• Process insurance forms and paperwork.
• Dispense medications as required.
• Handle payments accurately and efficiently.
• Provide empathy to clients during distressing times while maintaining professionalism.
• Utilise the in-house system to organise patient records.
• Coordinate with other veterinary practices for patient needs.
