Job summary

Medivet Worthing is seeking a Client Care Assistant to join our busy veterinary practice and deliver outstanding client-facing care. You will support the clinical team and ensure smooth day-to-day reception and administrative tasks in a friendly, welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, empathy with clients and their pets, and efficient use of practice management systems. Training will be provided for veterinary reception duties and there are opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and strong communication.
• Confident with computers and learning new systems.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment.
• Empathy and compassion when supporting clients.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare.
• Veterinary receptionist experience desirable but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reception duties, greeting clients on arrival and updating records.
• Triage emergency appointments and rearrange as needed.
• Manage the practice diary to optimise appointment availability.
• Answer client calls and manage messages.
• Ensure online booking slots are available for clients.
• Process repeat prescription orders.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
