Job summary

Stevenswood Ltd. Perth branch is seeking a friendly, proactive Branch Assistant to join its team. This hands-on role blends customer service, sales support, administration and warehouse duties to keep the branch running smoothly.

You’ll interact with customers from first enquiry to installation, prepare quotations, manage orders and stock, and help hit branch KPIs in a friendly, busy environment with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, retail, trade counter sales, sales support, warehousing or another busy branch environment would be helpful.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence discussing products and following up sales opportunities.
• Basic numeracy and computer skills.
• A willingness to learn about the company's products, systems and processes.
• A safe, responsible and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Looking after customers: responding to enquiries, assisting with customer accounts and keeping customers updated about orders, quotations and promotions.
• Supporting sales: preparing quotations using industry-specific software, explaining products and proactively contacting existing or lapsed customers.
• Managing orders and stock: picking stock, organising loads for dispatch and helping ensure goods are stored efficiently.
• Keeping information accurate: maintaining the customer database, accepting payments and supporting end-of-day banking and reporting.
• Maintaining branch standards: helping keep the branch organised, efficient, clean and safe.
• Working towards targets: supporting the achievement of branch KPIs and identifying opportunities to generate additional business.
• Supporting the team: helping new colleagues settle in and assisting the Branch Manager whenever required.
