The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a dedicated tutor to support the BPC Grow personal development programme at Bournemouth and Poole College. You will build relationships with a cohort, deliver interactive tutorials and monitor attendance within term-time hours.

Working with teaching teams, you will provide safeguarding support, keyworking for Children in Care and Care Leavers, and help students' wellbeing, confidence and progression through tailored guidance and group activities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade A–C / 9–4
• Experience supporting young people in an educational or pastoral setting

Responsabilités

• Build supportive relationships with a cohort as their trusted first contact during the move into college
• Deliver interactive BPC Grow tutorials, workshops and group activities using student-led approaches
• Support students' academic progress, wellbeing, confidence and personal development
• Monitor attendance and engagement, working with teaching teams to improve it
• Act as first point of contact for safeguarding and wellbeing concerns, following procedures and referring to specialist teams
• Give tailored support to vulnerable learners, including keyworking for Children in Care and Care Leavers
