Job summary

Kirklees College is recruiting a Personal Development Tutor to deliver the College tutorial Personal Development Programme at Waterfront, Huddersfield, working mainly there and focusing on group sessions.

You will embed careers education, employability and work readiness, support students with work placement preparation, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with curriculum, SEND, safeguarding teams, while upholding the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.

Qualifications

• PGCE/Cert Ed/teaching qualification (willingness to work towards within 2 years) and demonstrable experience with 14-19-year-old learners.
• Deliver high-quality personal development tutorials through weekly group sessions and embed careers education, employability and work readiness into the programme.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the College values in all duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly personal development tutorials and group sessions.
• Support an identified caseload of students, monitor progress, attendance and engagement.
• Embed careers education, employability and work readiness; assist with work placement preparation; maintain accurate records.
