Job summary

Stockport Council is seeking an empathetic, creative and reliable Personal Development Tutor to support behaviour and engagement in learning. You will work with teachers and mentors to deliver programmes, mentoring, and activities for holistic growth and academic progression.

The role is 32.5 hours, full-time, term-time only plus inset days, on the SO1 scale (£35,570 - £40,444 pro rata). Start ASAP with a three-part selection process and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, creative and reliable Personal Development Tutor required.
• Experience delivering personal development activities and mentoring is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-to-1 and small group sessions focused on personal development goals.
• Support behaviour and engagement in learning alongside teaching staff.
• Utilise activities (sport, arts, ICT, outdoor learning) to build self-awareness and resilience.
• Contribute to the holistic growth and academic progression of students.
