Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West is seeking a Personal Development Tutor for Crewe Campus to deliver personal development tutorials and provide pastoral support to learners aged 16–18. The role includes supervising attendance, supporting enrichment activities, and liaising with managers on pastoral concerns.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification, GCSE English and Maths at C grade, and have strong mentoring and tutoring skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification required.
• GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Excellent personal tutor, adviser or mentor skills.
• Strong knowledge of tutorial themes.
• Ability to deliver effective group tutorials, including sensitive topics.
• Experience delivering to groups aged 16–18.

Responsibilities

• Deliver group tutorial sessions covering Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity, and PREVENT.
• Induct students and foster belonging and resilience.
• Refer students to specialist services when concerns arise.
• Support learner participation in enrichment and learner voice activities.
• Monitor attendance and address concerns with the cohort.
• Support students with academic/personal progress and review targets.
