Job summary

Highfields College in Stockport is seeking a Deputy Pastoral Manager - Personal Development Tutor. The post involves 32.5 hours per week, term-time only with inset days, and is a permanent position with ASAP start. A safeguarding commitment and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Support behaviour and engagement in learning alongside teaching staff.
• Deliver programmes of study, mentoring and activities for holistic growth and academic progression.
• Deliver 1-to-1 and small group sessions around personal development goals using sports, creative arts, ICT or outdoor education.

Responsibilities

• Work across the college with teachers and mentors to support behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Deliver personal development activities and mentoring to help students return to mainstream schooling or move to post-16 options.
• Plan and run sessions that build self-awareness, problem solving, communication, emotional regulation and resilience.
