Job summary

Spire Southampton Hospital is recruiting a highly motivated Perioperative Practitioner/SFA to join our Theatre Team on a permanent full-time basis. We welcome qualified ODP or Scrub Nurse with orthopaedic or cardiac scrub experience.

The hospital delivers world-class care across the South of England, offering a range of treatments and a strong multidisciplinary team. 37.5 hours per week on rota with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified ODP/Scrub Nurse.
• Surgical First Assistant desirable.
• Registered with NMC/HCPC with no restrictions on pin.
• At least 2 years scrub experience in orthopaedics or cardiac.
• Experience in a surgical/theatre setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scrubbing for consultant-led surgeries across orthopaedics and cardiac cases.
• Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex caseload.
• Develop care plans considering perioperative risks and care pathway requirements.

Perioperative Practitioner Scrub / SFA | Theatre | Private Hospital | Southampton | Full-time Permanent

Spire Southampton are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Perioperative Practitioner/SFA to join our high performing Theatre Team on a permanent Full-time basis. We will consider a qualified ODP or Scrub Nurse withexperience in either Orthopaedic scrub or Cardiac scrub.

Our Critical Care department and multidisciplinary team offer you peace of mind for our wide range of treatments.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in scrubbing for consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism, such as orthopaedics
• You will assess patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing
• Provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre

Who we're looking for

• Qualified ODP/Scrub Nurse
• Surgical First Assistant desirable
• NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your pin.
• At least 2 years scrub experience in either orthopaedics or cardiac
• Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
• You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment

Working Hours:

Full-time, 37.5 hours on rota basis
